After extensive research, we have teamed up with Clarion Technologies to offer the best in class treatment for Micro-needling, Dp4™.
Dp4™ glides over the skin, creating millions of fine, vertical fractional channels up to 104% faster than other micro-needling pens. These channels can carry up to 80% more topical nutrients deeper into the skin.
The micro-injuries trigger a natural repair process, increasing the production of collagen and elastin and visibly improving a wide range of skin concerns, and is ideal for:
This award-winning technology has significant benefits over dermal-rolling and fractional laser treatments due to the minimal trauma to the skin. Dp4™ gives skin the chance to spend more effort fighting the ailment itself rather than any collateral damage caused by the procedure.
Though it’s most commonly performed on the face, micro-needling can be done on other parts of the body, too, such as the neck, décolletage, stomach, arms, and legs.

As platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy continues to gain acclaim across the medical community for its tissue-rejuvenating properties, its use as an add-on to your micro-needling treatment is revolutionary. This treatment essentially uses a patient’s own blood to promote the repair and regeneration of aged or damaged tissues.
The blood has three main components, which are spun in a centrifuge to isolate the red blood cells from the plasma. For aesthetic purposes, the plasma portion, which is made of white blood cells and platelets, is rich in growth factors. These factors act as messengers to signal cells to stimulate collagen and tissue regeneration.
The patented World of PRP hourglass tube is a uniquely versatile tool that is the first of its kind to be capable of producing a platelet-rich plasma that is tailored to your aesthetic requirements – all without sacrificing quality, quantity or time.
For three days before, and on the day of your appointment, it is essential that you drink plenty of water and eat nutritional meals.
If possible, avoid blood thinning and over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications such as aspirin, Motrin, Ibuprofen, and Aleve.
Avoid supplements, including St. John’s Wort, Gingko Biloba, primrose oil, garlic, ginseng, and Vitamin E.
Do not colour your hair within three days of your appointment if you are adding on injections for hair loss.
2 Days Before Injections:
Avoid topical products such as Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retinol, Retinoids, Glycolic Acid, or any “anti-aging” products.
Avoid waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or using hair removal cream on the area to be treated.
Do not drink alcoholic beverages 24 hours prior and 48 hours after- this helps reduce bruising and inflammation.
Please arrive to your appointment on time and with the area to be treated clean. If you are coming from work, an appointment, school or any other miscellaneous activity, do not worry; I will wash the area for you as we discuss, evaluate, and determine the exact site of your treatment.
If it is your first appointment with me, it will take approximately 90 minutes. We will discuss your health history, review medications and make a treatment plan together. During this time, I discuss treatment safety with you and allow you to have any questions answered. Once satisfied, we will do before photos. These photos will not be shared on social media (unless jointly agreed upon), and are only for the purpose of your chart and tracking results.
Next, you will sign a consent and then we will have a video call with my medical director. This call is required by law, as anyone receiving any medications or injections needs first to be seen by a physician or nurse practitioner. The call is very quick, and she will offer any suggestions or recommendations for your treatment plan.
After the call, I will clean the treatment area twice and proceed with a numbing agent for comfort, or begin the blood draw if no numbing is required. The anesthetic won’t affect the healing powers of your PRP or mesoglides.
If we are using mesoglides, I will draw up the cocktail into a few sterile syringes.
If we are using PRP, we need to create your PRP by collecting a sample of blood from your arm or hand. The sample is placed into a sterile container and then into a special centrifuge that will spin the blood, separating the liquid plasma from the platelet-rich portion.
Preparing your PRP can take up to 30 minutes, depending on how well hydrated and nourished your veins are.
I separate the PRP into a few needles, I do this to keep track of each injection point, especially since I enjoy small talk and continue to answer questions or engage in educational discussions while injecting. Also, by changing needles, pain is decreased and the risk of infection is reduced.
I will then begin with micro-needling.
Lastly, the PRP is injected into prediscussed areas of concern, and that’s it!
It may take a few hours for the local anesthetic to wear off. However, once the anesthetic wears off, you may feel some discomfort at the injection site that may last up to 48 hours.
If you are returning, your appointment will take approximately 30-45 minutes. We will talk about any changes to your health or treatment plan. We do not have to have a second call with my medical director unless your health, medications or service being provided have changed.
After your treatment, avoid touching the treated areas for at least 8 hours. Do not wash or wet the area that has been treated for at least 8 hours after your procedure.
Do not colour your hair for at least three days after your appointment.
If you use retinol, please discontinue for 7 days after your treatment.
If possible, blood thinners and anti-inflammatories such as Aleve, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Vitamin E, Gingko Biloba and fish oils should be avoided for 1-2 weeks after treatment. The goal of the treatment is to cause inflammation, and taking the anti-inflammatories as mentioned earlier, will limit this effect.
Please avoid injections such as fillers and botox for two weeks before your treatment.
Activities to avoid for two days after treatment include:
To promote healing, please be sure to limit:
Please avoid the sun for 24 hours because it's best to not apply anything to the treated area for that amount of time. Otherwise, lways wear sunscreen during all seasons.
In the first week following your treatment, increased water consumption is essential.
I will send you home with a facial mask, at no extra cost to you. Please use the mask the day after your appointment to optimize your healing and results. You will also be sent home with a small sample size of cleanser, lotion and serum. These are excellent medical grade products, which I encourage you to use as a replacement for your regular products for your first face wash after treatment.
Please be prepared with clean pillowcases and avoid putting makeup on for a minimum of 24 hours after your treatment. The reason for this is to reduce the risk of infection.
The medical community generally considers micro-needling to be safe and effective, but there are still some risks.
The primary risk is skin irritation after the procedure. Other side effects could include:
Bleeding is an uncommon reaction to microneedling, though it may be more likely to occur after a deeper treatment.
Bleeding may also be more of a risk for people who have bleeding disorders or who are taking blood-thinning medications. It is important to disclose this information to a doctor before receiving this treatment.
There is also a risk of more serious side effects, including:
Some devices involve additional risks. Those that use energy or heat can increase the likelihood of burns.
Finally, some people are not candidates for micro-needling treatment, including those with:
Seeing a dermatologist or medical skin care professional who is experienced in these types of procedures will help minimize the risks.
